The art of Alfred Jason Lindell
Process
Fusing, the ancient art of
layering and melting
glass, dates back over
3000 years and is the
oldest form of art glass
known to mankind.

Once a piece is
designed,  sheet glass is
precisely cut and
layered, then fired to a
temperature of 1300 -
1650 degrees Fahrenheit.

All of the work starts
flat.  If any shaping is
desired, it is achieved in
a second, lower
temperature firing.   Flat
pieces can also be
worked into a
traditionally leaded
window for greater depth
and detail that would not
be possible in standard
stained glass.

Along with new work,
Sundog has been
recognized for it's
preservation work in
traditional leaded glass.
